Top Talk^® Modules

The Top Talk® Program is built on several modules that target various stages of development from 6 months old to early primary school age.  This modular approach helps to formalise the goals of each stage of development and also ensures that the program remains well structured. 

The Top Talk® modules are:

Babies Talk Too™

Fun for babies and great tips for parents to foster children’s early understanding and communication.  For babies with no words and aiming to encourage non-verbal communication and for them to use 5/10 spoken words.

(indicative age: 6 – 18 months)

Talking First Words™

Fun games to encourage spoken words.  For children using 5-10 words and aiming for a vocabulary burst in order to reach the magic 50 spoken words milestone!

(indicative age: 10/12 – 36 months)

Talking Sentences™

Here come the little chatterboxes!  For children using at least 2 words in a sentence and aiming to increase the variety, length and clarity of their sentences.

(indicative age: 18 months – 3½ yrs)

Talking Together™

Book readings and related games to foster social interaction and learning. For children using language to communicate and aiming to further encourage vocabulary and using language to socially interact and learn. Plus exposure to early pre-reading skills and developing confidence and social skills. Great for those who love listening to books! Great for book lovers!

Talking School Readiness™

Making learning and socialising fun while building confidence in skills needed for school and pre-reading activities.  For children communicating basic needs and wants and aiming for optimum school readiness.  Encouraging pre-reading skills such as rhyme, letter & sound awareness. Encouraging number awareness, listening, understanding concepts and complex instructions.  Assists in the development of concentration and memory skills.  This module encourages social skills such as making and keeping friends, group participation skills and builds early “show and tell” confidence. Building confidence and making learning fun and social!

(indicative age: Pre-prep & Prep)

Talking Topics™

The more we know about life, the universe and everything – the easier it is to read and learn. Encouraging contribution to group discussions, offering opinions and extending general knowledge. Great for growing active learners!

(indicative age: Pre-prep, Prep & Grade 1)
